The London Villages Project

Quoting from: http://www.londonvillagesproject.org.uk/

"The goal of the London Villages Project is to provide a photographic record of London now.

Our purpose is to create a body of work that is identifiable as a unique contribution to the record of London–its multiplicity of communities, its miscellany of histories, its medley of architecture; its boundaries real and imagined; its current creation, its reference to memory."

About my Project

I chose to photograph my home: Ponders End plus where I can reasonably walk to. It's my neighbourhood.

I photographed it in panoramic format because that's how I see the world - in wide screen.

I have included my friends as models in dresses (and other outfits) to be centres of interest for the photographs.

I've added current fashions from Aqua Couture, Betsey Johnson, Honour, Hobbs, Forever Unique, and Marks and Spencer, and others.

Of course my personality runs through the project and your reactions as viewers are part of it too.

The project therefore documents Ponders End, my friends and current fashions.

It's how I see Ponders End in 2011-2012.
